The Code is the five laws of self-regulation. And self-regulation is in everything, everywhere.
Self-regulation drives every human behavior. But it also drives every form of life and every social institution. And since The Code is the basic laws behind self-regulation, every major personal and social problem traces to a Code failure, and every solution to a Code strategy. Leaders unconsciously use The Code to run companies. Our bodies use The Code to regulate temperature and chemistry. Every microscopic living cell uses The Code to sustain life. Weather systems use The Code to maintain a life-sustaining temperature range. Plants use The Code to store energy and angle leaves to light. Insects and animals use The Code to hunt. Every living thing. smart machine, and self-regulating system follows The Code’s five fundamental laws.
So, when we understand The Code, we understand almost everything. Not every detail. But the principles behind every detail.
The Code, and my book that explains it, is a comprehensive problem-solving tool that works at every level – individual, organizational, and cultural. Many books separate the levels. There are “personal development” books for individuals, “change management” and “leadership” books for organizations, and “political” and “philosophical” books for culture. I didn’t want to do that, because The Code speaks to everything. Personal control, organizational effectiveness, cultural change. It works for all.
