Erik Van Alstine, founder of Perceptual Intelligence®, is a dynamic communicator and thought leader whose mission is to promote transformation in people and organizations around the world.

After graduating with an engineering degree from the University of Washington, Erik started an advertising communication company and grew it over seven years to near Inc. 500 status and multi-millions in sales before the age of 30. In 1999, Erik founded an internet publishing company that grew to 1.5 million readers in over 180 countries around the world.

Erik is the author of four works in the Perceptual Intelligence® Series, including Automatic Influence: New Power for Change in Work and Life, Radically Receptive: How to Love Feedback and Learn from Everyone, The Motivation Equation: A Formula for Change in a Challenging World, and Perceptual Intelligence: The Science of Mental Strength for a Highly Constructive Life.

Erik is founder of several companies, including a leadership consulting firm figure headed by Harvard Business School’s most recognized professor of leadership. Erik’s other companies have served several New York Times bestselling authors, company executives, and the largest retailers in the world.

Rich is a seasoned senior leader and Global 5000 executive with a passion to develop transforming qualities in leaders around the world.

For fifteen years, Rich served in leadership roles at Russell Investments, a leading global investment management and solutions partner with more than $300 billion of assets under management.

During those years, Rich served as Director of Business Development, earned the Russell Leadership Award, architected the Russell Advisor Network, and established the Russell Retirement Planning System.

In the years following his leadership at Russell, Rich has acted as the managing partner of Wealth Investment Partners, LLC, where he is actively engaged in executive coaching, leadership development, and consulting.

Rich has also served as an executive coach for Lance Tanaka Group and as an adjunct teacher of business leadership at Oxford.

Rich currently serves as the CEO of Perceptual Intelligence. He’s passionate about helping others grow in their leadership roles through coaching, mentoring, and organizational development.
